The company, which is part of the MODEC and Mitsui groups, aims to expand its presence in Brazil and internationally this year
Shape Digital - a provider of digital products and services for various industrial sectors and part of the Modec and Mitsui groups - has announced Felipe Baldissera as its new Senior Vice President, according to a statement released on Thursday, August 21.
Baldissera, who joined the company in September 2022 as Vice President of Energy, will now lead the company with the goal of expanding Shape Digital's presence both in Brazil and internationally.
"2024 is the year we want to accelerate our growth and start gaining traction internationally. We have a unique set of strengths that put us in a very good position: AI-based tools with years of learning, development, and proven value, a committed, agile, and flexible team, and a synergy of expertise that combines software, data, and industrial engineering," the executive explained in the statement.
The company reports that it tripled its revenue from new clients in 2023 compared to 2022 and made its first sales of solutions outside Brazil, in Africa. To continue its growth, Shape Digital plans to focus on expanding its strategy in the Americas. "Software, data, and AI will certainly play increasingly critical roles in decarbonization, efficiency gains, safety, and competitiveness in heavy industry," the Senior VP added, according to the statement.
Felipe Baldissera has over 15 years of experience in the energy, oil & gas market, with previous roles at Petrobras as Quality and Contracts Administrator in the Drilling Systems area (Drilling, MWD, and LWD); at SBM Offshore as Contract Manager; and at MODEC as Commercial Director and Commercial and Contracts Manager, among other positions at the latter company.
At Shape Digital, Baldissera contributed to enhancing existing solutions like Shape Lighthouse and creating Shape Aura, both related to Intelligent Asset Management, aimed at optimizing industrial operations and consequently reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
